The news has fueled public anger over NYSC's compulsory long-distance travel from places like Ondo State to distant camps like Gombe, with calls for regional postings or reform to prevent such risks.

"Preliminary reports indicate 16 of 18 passengers, mostly young graduates, were feared dead, with the two survivors in critical condition.
