Kenya's President William Ruto has increased the salaries of civil servants. Teachers, Police officers, military officers and other civil officers will all benefit from this. He rejected a proposal to increase the salaries of Senior Government Officials, saying that they can wait or anticipate on increasing their salaries sooner or later.

President William Ruto also agreed to recommendations by Salaries and Remuneration Commission to increase salaries for all the civil servants by 7% to 10%.
